Reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation Minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Evens skin tone.

Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid has several beneficial properties that make it well suited for peeling applications. These include:

  • Comedolytic. This is a fancy word that means salicylic acid unplugs dead skin cells and built-up oils that can cause acne blemishes.
  • Desmolytic. Salicylic acid has the abilities to exfoliate skin cells through disrupting intercellular connections. This is known as a desmolytic effect.
  • Anti-inflammatory. Salicylic acid has an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin at low concentrations. This may help in treating acne.

Lactic Acid

Lactic acid is derived from fermented lactose and belongs to the AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) family.  It is a milder form of acid that is specifically used to treat hyperpigmentation and age spots.  Other benefits of AHAs like lactic acid include improved skin tone and reduced pore appearance. Trained skin care specialists have the ability to formulate acid combinations to treat individualized skin care needs
